"Blush Meadow" - Textured Pink and Purple Wildflower Garden

There are moments in a garden when the abundance becomes almost overwhelming in the most beautiful way—when blossoms cluster so densely that they become a tapestry of color, each flower competing for attention while simultaneously contributing to a harmonious whole. "Blush Meadow" captures that moment.

This piece began with the desire to translate not just the appearance of a wildflower meadow, but its physical presence—the way petals feel, the way light moves across a curved surface, the way depth reveals itself as you lean closer. The result is a heavily textured composition where pink, purple, red, cream, and peach blooms emerge from a soft, muted background like living sculpture.

I worked to create contrast between the large, commanding blossoms and the smaller, more delicate flowers that fill the spaces between them. Stems and leaves in varying greens weave through the composition, providing structure while allowing the eye to wander and discover new details. The dimensional quality means this piece changes with the light—morning sun catches different textures than afternoon shadows, revealing something new with each viewing.

"Blush Meadow" is for those who love gardens, who understand that a meadow in full bloom is one of life's great luxuries, and who appreciate art that invites touch (even when we know we shouldn't). It brings the joy, abundance, and tactile beauty of summer into any space, year-round.
